Wheeling University offers the opportunity for its students to participate in Study Abroad programing to enhance the overall educational experience. WU students have ample choices to take their classrooms beyond the grounds of campus to settings that truly support one’s global perspective. We encourage you to explore these opportunities, but each case will be evaluated by the Office of the Registrar for its approval. Approved programming will allow students to stay active with Wheeling University including receiving limited Financial Aid for the semester.

Non-Approved Study Abroad programs will require a student to take a leave of absence from WU to embark on such studies, then any credits earned will be evaluated for transfer just as any other international transcript for a higher educational institution. Again only approved programming will guarantee credit received for education work completed internationally.
